A little bit about me

Hey! I’m Halley! I was born and raised in the PNW, I’m 29 years old, I have a husband and 2 puppies, and a perfect little girl who was born in 2023. I’m an extroverted introvert who loves brewery hang outs just as much as home game nights, and my love languages are words of affirmation and sushi.

I got my first film camera when I was 8 years old (it was plastic and had a viewfinder for each eye) and then a real one from my parents as a high school graduation gift with absolutely no intention of making this a career, but look where we are! I find inspiration in music and people watching, I absolutely love what I do, and I can’t wait to meet you!

I’m a military wife

My husband is in the Navy which means we move around every few years so growing roots in one place tends to be a little difficult. But thats OK! Because we love to travel and make friends along the way!

Also, being a Navy wife means I’ve really come to appreciate the small things that come with quality time with your partner. I know what it means to want to soak up every moment and quirk and detail of that person you love to hold on to for when they might not be around.

My Hobbies

Apart from photography, I love so many things! My hobbies include thrifting, taking care of our house plants (we have about 100), embroidery, cooking, reading (send me book recs), traveling & road tripping in our van, hiking, and snuggling my cute husband and puppies while watching Netflix.

Some things that make me happy are coffee, dark beers, yummy candles, warm cookies, tacos, handwritten letters, homecoming videos, anything vintage and when people laugh so hard they cry.

I didn’t go to school for photography

I went to a 4 year university for 2 years, got my associates in health and human performance and then transferred to a physical therapy assistant program in Bremerton WA. I worked as a PTA for 2 years before COVID and became a full-time photographer in the spring of 2020

I met my husband on Tinder!

It’s true! We met on Tinder back in 2017 and I’ve never been more grateful for an app in my life!

I’m a Covid bride as well!

Cody and I eloped to the courthouse right before the pandemic hit with the goal of having our wedding in the summer of 2020. But as you can guess, that didn’t work out and neither did our plan to reschedule.

However, it worked out perfectly because eloping is definitely more us! We went on a van trip with our cute little puppy and exchanged vows and rings at Yosemite on our 2 year wedding anniversary!

My approach to your wedding day

The most important thing about your wedding day is you two, your love and the memories you make

Love is unscripted, raw, and unique, and I believe your wedding day should reflect that. I will encourage you to get married exactly how you feel is right and ignore any expectations and traditions that don’t resonate with you.

And whatever you choose, I will be there for all of it! I want to be your hype girl and helper during your planning process and your biggest fan on your big day! I can’t wait to get to know you and document your bomb-ass perfect day!
